John’s an internationally known expert on economic engagement. He’s the author of the classic works Economic Engagement and The Open-Book Experience: Lessons From Over 100 Companies Who Successfully Transformed Themselves. (You can order them here.)
He has written about economic engagement for Inc., Harvard Business Review, and many other magazines, and was cofounder of the Economic Engagement Bulletin (back in the days when newsletters were actually printed on paper). A board member of the National Center for Employee Ownership, he is also coauthor of Equity: Why Employee Ownership Is Good for Business. Since the summer of 2015, he has written a biweekly article on the Forbes website, in partnership with Bill Fotsch. John lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
